Care Show London – Day One (AM) Review

At Clece Care Services, our commitment to providing top-quality care in the community is unwavering. This dedication was recently showcased when we attended the prestigious Care Show at the London ExCel on the 24th-25th April. This event, a cornerstone for the care community, offered an invaluable platform for learning, networking, and discovery. Our audience participation in several key sessions underscored our ongoing efforts to enhance our services, support our team, and ensure the well-being of those we care for.

From the morning of Day One, a highlight of the event was the session on “Difficult Conversations: How to Enhance Your Workplace Communication Skills” led by Adam Mellor from Crisis Prevention International. The insights gained here are crucial; effective communication is the backbone of providing compassionate and understanding care. By learning strategies to navigate challenging conversations, our team is better equipped to foster a supportive and positive environment for both our service users and each other. This session was a powerful reminder of the importance of clear, empathetic communication in the high-stakes world of care.

Diversity and inclusion are more than just buzzwords for us at Clece Care; they are foundational principles that guide our approach to care. Attending Amrit Dhaliwal’s session on “Diversity and Inclusion: Cultivating a Harmonious Culture for Workplace Excellence” provided us with innovative strategies to further enhance our inclusive practices. Creating a culture that celebrates diversity not only enriches our team but also ensures that the care we provide is respectful and sensitive to the diverse needs of our service users. This session reinforced our commitment to being a care provider where everyone feels valued and respected.

The session titled “Grow Your Care Business and Become the Care Provider of Choice” was particularly enlightening. With insights from Tobi Alli-Usman, Vicky Haines, Kat Clayton, and Lisa Vile, we explored various strategies for growth and excellence in the care sector. Their shared experiences and successes inspired us to continue innovating and striving for excellence in every aspect of our service. This session provided practical tips and motivation to enhance our operations, marketing, and service delivery, aiming always to be the care provider of choice in the United Kingdom.

Lastly, the “Mind Matters: Nurturing Mental Health for the Future Workforce” session was a poignant reminder of the critical importance of mental health support within our sector. The expertise shared by Monica Menniti, Lee Trueman, Mark Topps, and Stella Shaw offered us valuable insights into creating a supportive mental health framework for our workforce. This focus on mental health is essential, as it not only benefits our team members but also improves the quality of care provided to those we serve. This session has spurred us to further prioritize mental health initiatives within our organization.

Attending the Care Show was an enriching experience for Clece Care Services, filled with learning, inspiration, and connection. Each session attended has armed us with new knowledge and strategies to continue improving and leading in the delivery of high-quality care. Our participation in this event is a testament to our commitment to excellence, diversity, and the well-being of both our service users and our dedicated team. We are excited to implement these insights and continue our journey as a leading UK Care at Home Provider.
